Date: Monday, October 23, 2006
Time: 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Venue: Bovard Auditorium, University of Southern California
EXPERIENCE DANCE LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE
Diavolo is a famous internationally acclaimed modern dance company, who have been recognized for years as being at the vanguard of the modern dance movment. Come see a dance show that is unlike any other you will ever see.
Whether you are a long-time lover of dance or you have never seen or cared about dance in your life, this show will take your breath away.
The company is composed of dancers, gymnasts and actors who choreograph their pieces around outrageous and surrealistic set pieces. Everyday items such as doors, chairs and stairways provide the back-drop for dramatic movement – leaping, flying, twirling – that creates metaphors for the challenge of relationships, the absurdities of life and the struggle to maintain our humanity in an increasingly technological world.

Ralph Nader
Don't Waste Your 20's!
Take on the Little Things & The Big Things
A featured seminar of the Provost's Graduate Social Impact Seminar Series
Tuesday, October 24
THH 101 @ 6PM
Honored by Time magazine as One of the 100 Most Influential Americans of the Twentieth Century, author, consumer advocate and presidential candidate for the Green Party, Ralph Nader, has devoted his life to giving ordinary people the tools they need to defend themselves against corporate negligence and government indifference. With a tireless, selfless dedication, he continues to expose and remedy the dangers that threaten a free and safe society. Laws he helped draft and pass include the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Meat and Poultry Inspection Rules, the Air and Water Pollution Control Laws and the Freedom of Information Act.
Nader delivers a message that is simple and compelling: "To go through life as a non-citizen would be to feel that there's nothing you can do, that nobody's listening, that you don't matter. But to be a citizen is to enjoy the deep satisfaction of seeing the prevention of pain, misery and injustice."

We are currently working to collect PR information on the various committees and assemblies of Program Board in order to be more effective and prepared in publicizing the requested events. I am hoping that as the contact for ISA you can provide PBPR with information regarding your assembly, such as intitatives of the assembly, upcoming events, preferences for publicity, desired target audience and the like. This information will be benficial for the team and your assembly as well in order to appropriately and successfully publicize for ISA. Thank you and any extra information is appreciated.

Update
We can't use the $20 bill idea for the Nader event. Ralph Nader is very against capitalism and that won't fly.
Sooo, if any of you have any other fun ideas for tabling, let me know asap.
There will be flyers available for:
ISA Multicultural Week (Kristen--> parkside again?)
Trojan Pride Galen Center (new update: no tour, event starts at 4:30pm, and the new Spirit Leaders wil be making an appearance) (Leela)
Performing Arts Diavolo (Loren)
LSA Trojan Family Dinner (Colleen)
BSA Soul Food Dinner (Armando)
Please pick them up after 1pm tomorrow. Staple guns are in the second drawer in my desk.
If you have any questions please email me! I have a new email address I'm trying to switch over to (since i hate usc email).

A Couple Things
1. Because we had orientation Sunday, we're not going to have a meeting tomorrow.
If you didn't go to the orientation on Sunday, please meet with me sometime tomorrow to discuss what you missed. I will be available in the office to talk from 4-5:30pm! Let me know if you're going to come in!
2. I have the LSA and BSA flyers available. They're in one of the shelves on my desk. I need someone to flyer for BSA, email me if you can.
Thanks!!
